Although you get a suit early on (too early IMO), it still takes time before you can feed, upgrade, and maintain it properly. I think the power armor feels really good and its the big juicy cherry on the top of the power creep sundae. Now I can actually go toe to toe with a pack of six super mutans without getting wrecked. It was fifty hours before I had the perks, money, and progression to start using T-60e power armor (although I certainly could have done it earlier if I had focused on that). I am playing the game on survival difficulty without using chems or stimpacks.

Rusty Billiot Posts: 3431 Joined: Sat 10:22 pm It's a tank suit, ok, so it needs to make you slower and bulkier than when you're jogging around in your track shoes, and it needs to make you a lot more obvious and make sneaking so difficult that it's not practical to do, I realize being able to crouch is necessary, and if you want to get so good that you can actually sneak in power armor ok, go for it, but sneaking around in a half ton suit of creaking, whirring hydraulic armor should not be as easy as it is. They need to make it more strategic, I think it's okay strength wise, but way too common, I've taken to collecting frames and suits, have almost 20 rusty old half-built suits standing around my settlement now, but it needs more downsides and upsides. There are some things I think need changing though, like that fact that you can sneak in power armor (srzly, what the ?).Īs long as you have the fusion cores there's literally no reason NOT to wear it, I use it as my primary armor and run around in a leather jacket and sunglasses otherwise, saves on weight and gives nice stat boosts when you're not fighting. I have a cobbled up suit of mixed T-51E and T-60E and I die a lot.a legendary sentry bot could take me down to 50% health in half a second whenever I showed my face, THAT was a long fight.
